The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and planning building projects, preparation of the Bill of Materials (BOM), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), coordinating the construction process, inspecting construction sites, collaborating with other professionals, researching and developing new techniques and materials, and communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to create innovative and sustainable housing solutions.
• Develop architectural designs and construction drawings for residential projects.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to support project implementation.
• Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture preferable
• Preferably with exposure to Bamboo construction and design
• Professional license or certification as an Architect.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software.
• Strong design and technical skills with a focus on sustainability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in residential or community-based projects is preferred.
• Fluency in English is preferable, and knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the training and learning programs for the Bamboo Academy, ensuring that all activities align with BASE’s goals and objectives. The Bamboo Academy Training and Learning Officer will work closely with internal teams and external partners to design and deliver high-quality training and learning programs that promote the use and production of bamboo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the training and learning programs for the Bamboo Academy.
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to design and deliver high-quality training and learning programs.
• Identify training and learning needs and opportunities and develop appropriate programs.
• Develop training materials and resources, including online resources, manuals, and guides.
• Deliver training programs and workshops to trainees.
• Monitor and evaluate training and learning programs and make recommendations for improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of training and learning activities.
• Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in the bamboo industry and incorporate them into training and learning programs.
• Manage communication channels with trainees, trainers, and partners to ensure that information is shared

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, education, training, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in training and learning program management, preferably in a related field.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of training and learning program design and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft Technical Documents for Bio‑Based Materials:

• Write manuals, guidelines, and standards based on research data
• Interpret and apply relevant building codes and standards to support document development.

Coordinate With Government and International Stakeholders

• Work directly with government agencies to co‑draft regulatory documents.
• Participate in international engagements, representing BASE in technical discussions and standards development internationally.

Key Qualifications:

• Education and Experience: Masters in Civil Engineering (focus in structures)

Base Bahay Foundation is seeking a temporary Procurement and Logistics Officer (4 months) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing resource allocation, ensuring value for money, and supporting the effective implementation of projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides overall supervision and coordination of staff and activities in the procurement of conventional materials and logistics concerns.
• Identifies and evaluates suppliers located within Metro Manila. For local suppliers near to the project sites, the Project Managers will help in the evaluation and canvassing of materials.
• Ensures that BASE will work with competent and reliable suppliers in terms of quantity, availability and quality of the goods.
• Arranges transportation of purchased materials, making sure that these will not cause delay on the construction schedule.
• Conducts inspection and quality checks of materials and get samples from suppliers to ensure that the material has complied with the approved specs.
• Monitors use of materials and resources and ensures quality record keeping protecting BASE from incurring losses by minimizing fraud and waste.
• Establishes and maintains records of procured materials per project and generate analyses of procurement trends, pricing and other factors affecting procurement.
• Ensures consistent communication, coordination and responsiveness of all teams regarding status of procurement and logistics activities in their respective sites.
• Prepares and conducts Request for Quotations (RFQ’s), Purchase Requests, and reviews purchase receipts, quotations and proposals, evaluations and negotiations of all goods and services to ensure compliance with BASE’s procurement requirements.
• Creates a database of conventional materials and updates pricing for most commonly used items in the projects.
• Ensures that all procurement documentations are in full compliance to the requirements of the finance unit.
• Tracks down the use and maintenance of all tools and equipment (electric drill, cut saw, grinders and others). Maintains logbook for the tools to monitor location and repairs.
• Develops positive and good working relationship with suppliers while maintaining the strict compliance with specified requirement and quality of the materials.
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Finance and Administration.
