The BASE Innovation Center (BIC) serves as a venue for numerous research and testing programs as well as training courses that engage other institutions and professionals with the objective of further propelling Bamboo based technology and other alternative building technologies.
Every technology in BIC is supported by research to ensure its safety, durability, and quality. It is managed by a dedicated team of professionals and researchers in the field. Likewise, it is equipped with advanced tools such as a universal testing machine and reaction frame that examine components and mechanical properties to ensure the durability of the material being tested.
With the aim to make the bamboo building technology become part of the national building code in the Philippines and across Asia, the BIC is open to collaborating with other research institutions.
